BY-LAWS
of the
FORT WORTH
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT #6
ADVISORY BOARD
Qualification. Membership in the Advisory Board of Directors is
limited to property owners within the PID 6. The Advisory Board shall consist
of seven persons, each representing and residing within one of the seven
districts in PID 6.
Delinquency. No person may
be appointed as a director if any assessment against the lot is more than
thirty days delinquent at the time of the appointment, provided he or she has
been given notice of the delinquency and a reasonable opportunity to cure it.
Appointment. Applications for appointment on
the Board shall be solicited by the management company from property owners
within each of the seven districts where a vacancy exists or where an
appointee’s term is to expire, and shall be forwarded to the City of
Fort Worth
by 1 September
of each year. Directors will be appointed by the City of
Fort Worth
for any vacant seat.
Number and Term. To maintain staggered terms, at the appointment to be
made in October of 2008, the three directors residing in even numbered
districts shall be appointed for a term of two years, and the four directors
residing in odd numbered districts shall be appointed for a term of one year. Thereafter, all terms shall be
for two years. When a director’s term expires, he or she may be appointed again
for another term.
Vacancies. Vacancies on the Board caused
by any reason will be filled by an interim appointment made by the City of
Fort Worth
. The Advisory
Board shall make a recommendation to the City of
Fort Worth
regarding such interim
appointment. Each director so appointed shall serve until the next 1 September
appointments are made.
Removal of Director. The PID-6 Advisory Board of Directors will report to
the City PID Administrator any knowledge of excessive absences, conflict of
interest, criminal behavior or other information relating to members of the
PID-6 Board or management company officials that might be cause for
removal.
Management
Company. The PID-6 Advisory Board of
Directors will report to the City PID Administrator any failure to perform,
conflict of interest, or other information relating to the PID that might be
cause for removal.
Quorum. At meetings of the Advisory Board, 5 of the 7 existing
directors constitutes a quorum for the transaction of business, and the acts of
the 5 of 7 directors present at a meeting at which a quorum is present are the
acts of the Advisory Board.
Officers. Officers for the Advisory Board shall be the following: President,
Vice President, and Secretary. Officer positions shall be elected by the
Advisory Board each year at the first organizational Advisory Board meeting
held following appointments made by the City of
Fort Worth
. Terms of officer positions shall
be one year. There is no limit to the number of terms an officer may serve in
the same position, provided they are so elected by the Advisory Board.
