Vacation Watch Request


By submitting a request for a vacation check PID 6 residents acknowledge and agree to the following conditions:
  1. Your request is submitted to the PID 6 Community Ambassador, Retired FWPD Lieutenant J.D. Grady, who then processes and forwards the information to the FWPD officers working for PID 6.

  2. Vacation watch requests must be submitted no less than 4 days, and no more than 7 days, prior to the vacation.

  3. This service is ONLY for residents of the PID 6 Communities. By submitting this request I/we acknowledge being a resident of PID 6 Communities.

  4. A cursory check of their residence may be made, but no guarantee can be made that a vacation check will be performed when requested.

  5. Residents who request this service give consent for those officers, as well as the PID 6 Community Ambassador, to be on their property and to remove and dispose of any newspapers, flyers, etc. found on the resident's property that would suggest the homeowner is away. Officers/PID 6 Community Ambassador may contact resident and/or emergency contacts if they observe a potential problem or concern as well as when a delivery company has left packages. Please note that these contacts may be made at any hour of the day or night if the concern justifies the contact being made.

  6. Vacation checks will not be performed on homes when a member of the household or an invited guest will be staying at the home while the homeowner is away. This also includes allowing others to be inside your home to use the inside facilities or outside facilities such as a swimming pool. If you are using the services of a pet sitter, lawn service, contractor or a neighbor is checking on your residence you may use the vacation check program as long as all people who are allowed access to your property are identified in the vacation check request and are not staying in the home overnight or using outside facilities.

  7. If your vacation plans change or you return early please e-mail PID6Patrol@aol.com or phone the PID 6 Community Ambassador at 817-994-3834.  Please note that due to the notification process your home may be checked even if you cancel or alter your departure or return dates and times. No text message notifications are permitted.

  8. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address used in the submission of the request. If an e-mail response is not received within 24 hours please contact the PID 6 Community Ambassador at 817-994-3834. If no confirmation e-mail is received then the request was NOT received and processed.

  9. This courtesy service is provided by Fort Worth police officers that are hired to patrol PID 6. The residents should understand that there are no guarantees as to the number or frequency of checks and there are no expressed or implied levels of additional security offered by this service. The PID 6 Community Ambassador, PID 6 Advisory Board, FirstService Residential, the Fort Worth Police Department and Fort Worth officers assume no liability or guarantees regarding this courtesy service.

Please note the following about vacant homes or for residents gone more than 21 days:
  1. Vacant homes that have no permanent residents are not eligible for this program. Please contact PID6Patrol@aol.com for further information.
  2. There are no limits on the number of vacation checks that a resident can request in one year; the length of a vacation check is limited to a maximum of 21 days. When a residence is going to be vacant for more than 21 days, please e-mail PID6Patrol@aol.com for further information
