This group of volunteer homeowners acts as an additional set of ears and eyes for the police. Each volunteer attends a brief training session at the Fort Worth Police Academy and rides with a uniformed officer for a short time. Afterwards, the volunteer is given a radio and is released for citizen patrolling. Typical patrols are on Friday and Saturday nights, but can be any day or time. Members only report suspicious activity; they never leave their vehicle or try to become involved in the situation. This is great for couples or groups of friends.
